What does it mean to have BOHU culture?
It's the mindset we carry on from from drawing the first sketch to delivering the final product to door.
Here are 4 principles we all have in common at BOHU
Design is indeed our creative compass. BOHU's first intention is to make a good design, whether it is product design or service design. BOHU identifies a lack of design practice in the local furniture industry despite having adequate talented and skilled people around; hence our promise/motivation/direction has begun to be set compassed by design.
We thrive on our dreams of the future and the present challenges we face in the making of furniture. We believe that the path to innovation is to overcome obstacles no one has tackled before. We constantly think about our customers' lives then, now, and in the future to make timeless yet nostalgic and functional products.
You may think we are doing things mostly from our passion for design. Well, you are ALMOST right, but not entirely. The driving force for BOHU is our business model, our staff, and our brand name. We consider ourselves to be just lucky to make something we love while we nurture our business culture, celebrate on our business milestones and daily wins.
Professionalism mean many things to us, but unlike regular definations we consider 'creative leadership' as a mandatory quality in all our memebers and leaders. Our founders Nabila Nowrin and Nahid Sharmin are both great example of showing what creative leadership is - a kind that is empathatic, open to newness while rooted to some of the old fashioned way to lead.
